I can honestly say that choosing to become a Beachbody Coach has CHANGED my life. Not only am I in the best shape (even during pregnancy) but my priorities and perspectives in life have completely changed… for the BETTER that is! My biggest dream would be to share it with YOU and help YOU get to a place in your life where you will be truly happy. What is happy? We all have different definitions and views but for me, it involves a long term commitment to my family and FREEDOM— freedom from the 9-5, freedom to come and go as I please, freedom to help others when they need it most, freedom to be significant in my family’s life, whenever they need it! Are YOU working towards your happiness? I know the unknown is “scary”, I was there… but what’s life without risks? You want something, you have to take charge and act on it. Trust me!

Get Extreme with ChaLean Challenge Group – Day 3

I started participating in a new challenge group on Monday!  So far everyone participating is TOTALLY awesome and dedicated!  I decided I wanted to track my journey with videos throughout the 90 days 🙂

Why?

Why do you do what you do? That day job that you go to every M-F…..why do you show up everyday? Is it because you enjoy your work? Are you passionate about your work, or are you spending those 40+ hours per week strictly for a pay check and maybe some benefits.

When I was a kid, I had always envisioned having a career that I loved. My parents both worked full time jobs, and while I’m grateful to them for providing a great childhood and home life, I had in the back of my mind that I didn’t want to spend my working years that way. I don’t believe that either of them felt passionate about their work or looked forward to a Monday.

However, as time goes on, and life happens, you have to make ends meet. Like many others, I ended up taking a job in order to help support my family and pay our bills. Years later, still working at this job, I realized I was falling into the exact path I promised myself I would not go on! However, I didn’t know how to switch paths….I just knew I wanted MORE out of my life.

About 18 months ago I was introduced to Team Beachbody. I joined because I liked the perks that came with the membership. I knew there was great income potential, but I didn’t put much thought into that aspect. I just really enjoyed helping people…..then, little by little I was seeing growth in my business. It was like an ah-ha moment. I saw others around me being able to stay home with their family all thru this Beachbody opportunity. So my mindset changed and I began to think…

WHY NOT ME?

That is the day I drew a line in the sand and decided to take my coaching business a little more seriously. I created this why board to help remind me of all of the reasons that I am working so hard for. Seeing this picture each day gives me hope and gives me a purpose to keep on working towards my ultimate goal of being able to stay home and be with my family and have a career that I enjoy and feel passionate about!

So again I ask you why you do what you do? What are you working towards? Is that day job that you’re going to each day taking you a step closer to what your own goals and visions are for yourself and your family? If not, think about it. You deserve the best out of life and it is up to you to take those turns on your own path to get to your ultimate destination.

Stop limiting yourself and dream BIGGER!

Getting back to pre-preggo body

I don’t know if this is normal… but I am already finding myself thinking about planning my strategy for getting my body after the baby is born in March.  Getting back in shape is VERY important to me and something I knew was going to be an ‘issue’ before I even ventured down this road.

To be 100% honest, I have never been in a position where I had to lose weight before.  I have always been a very slim/slender frame and the majority of my workout goals revolved around building muscle, toning, strength, endurance and of course, ABS!  Don’t get me wrong, the end result of having a new creation and member of our family is totally going to be worth it and outweigh the anxiety of putting on weight.  I’m just saying it FREAK S ME OUT!

SO, to easy my nerves, I am planning my post baby plan of attack.  Originally I was thinking about doing a round of Insanity and then moving on to Beachbody’s newest program…. BODY BEAST!

 

What did you do to get your pre-preggo body back??  How long did it take?  And….were you worried about it, or did you just expect it and knew it came with the territory?

Although, now I am thinking, I may just go ahead and JUMP right into this one.  Muscle burns fat alot quicker than cardio does… and the challenge of a NEW program could be a good thing!

I’m Pregnant!

I”m Pregnant!!

I am happy to announce that my husband and I are expecting our first child!

There was a time when I didn’t think having children was ever something that was in our future. The idea of taking on such a huge responsibility was SCARY! Actually, it still is scary!

Some background on us:

Michael and I have been married since 2002! We were originally Floridians and spent the first 4 years of our marriage in South Florida. We moved to East Tennessee in 2006 and knew that it was the perfect place to start a family if we ever decided to do so.

Fast forward to 2012 and the realization comes in that I am going to be THIRTY this year! I think the fact that several of my friends (as well as my brother and sister-in-law) have had children and helped to relieve some of my anxieties about pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.

Having a fit and healthy pregnancy is my priority right now! I plan to document my pregnancy here on my blog. I plan on keeping up with regular workouts, healthy clean eating and general pregnancy wellness! I hope you follow me along on my 9 month journey!

School and work have kind of taken over the past couple months and I have not been able to blog and participate in photo challenges as much as I would have liked.  You know how it goes… you miss one week and then its hard to get back into the routine.

Today I woke up Happy!

Good Morning!

You know which workdays usually suck the most?  The first one back after a holiday break or after a vacation.  Its usually such a drag going back that day after having a little longer than a weekend break from the typical M-F grind.

Well, thats how I normally feel….what about you?

But guess what?!  Today I had one of those odd mornings where I actually woke up before the alarm!  Also, I didn’t immediately have that ‘ugh’ feeling of oh no..I don’t want to go back to work yet!  Or I am not ready for the morning yet, I need to sleep a little longer…. You know what I’m talking about!

SO, in an effort to keep the good mood going, I got up right away, washed my face, brushed my teeth – put on my new fancy Lancome serum (review to come soon!) and got the coffee brewing!

Here’s to having a great first day back at work!  AND Here’s to 4 day workweeks!……AND here’s to being on time!

…um, well, taking the time to write this post will now probably make me have to rush to leave on time..haha, but that’s okay!  Blogging helps keep up the good spirits in my book!
